About the Podcast

Prime Time is a casual history Rexy-Pod ranking all the British Prime Ministers from Robert Walpole to the modern day. On our way, we'll tell the story of this nation, cast judgement on our forebears, and explore some of the weird, wonderful, and time-worn bits of modern British Politics that are still around today.

Prime Time is a History & Politics podcast, and although we strive for accuracy we are not professional historians. We're in it for a good story and a good time. If you spot any inaccuracies, please let us know and we'll be sure to correct ourselves either on this website, or live on the podcast (or both).

Your Hosts - The Robinocracy

John, Rob & Kess all met at Uni a depressingly long time ago. They're all fans of the podcast Rex Factor (Kess would like it to be known that she was patient 0), so together they hatched a plot to make a podcast of their own, with Politics and Prime Ministers.
John

You might not think there's much maths in politics, but you'd certainly hope that your politicians can count.
John has a Maths degree, and works as a Data Analyst. He has a background in local politics, and supports Podcat with research into Prime Ministers. He also wrote the scoring system (obviously).
He lives in London with his husband and Dogcast, our canine legal council.
Rob

Rob has 1/3 of a politics degree, and he's making the best of it!
With a long-standing interest in all things political & historical, Rob currently works in Public Affairs.
On the pod he covers all things niche, quirky & ceremonial in politics today.
This podcast is a blessing for Rob's wife, because he never shuts up about this stuff anyway and at least now he has an outlet for it.
Kess
Picture
Kess has a degree in English and Languages, and was a driving force behind setting up a History Podcast. She's still not sure how Rob & John tricked her into agreeing to the political side of it.
Kess’ field of speciality is Ladies of Quality and Distinction, and she spends her remaining time working as a teacher, and looking after Podcat, our Head of Research.
Podcat
Picture
As our researcher, Podcat is responsible for ensuring the purrfect accuracy of our historical information. He enjoys lounging, posing, and cuddles (but only on his own terms).
Dogcast
Picture
Our Canine Legal Council, Dogcast is responsible for ensuring that we stay in step with the paw. She enjoys watching the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and doesn't like it when other dogs are playing and won't invite her to join.
